Faces of Sunset Boulevard

Just came across this photographer Patrick Ecclesine.
Check out his website at facesofsunset.com. The images are from a book project "Faces of Sunset Boulevard".

"a colorful and cinematic collection of portraits and interviews taken along the world famous sunset boulevard."

The 'History' and 'Journal' sections in the Faces of Sunset site are a good read and give some insight into the way he thinks and works.

Also check out his commercial site www.ecclesine.com

This photography really appeals to me. The preparation needed for some of these shoots is phenomenal. The street locations combined with great studio lights makes for some really unique images. Just fantastic. Enjoy.

Photoshop Image Processor

Here's something I only just discovered in Photoshop. Been batch processing the hard way for years now. I was getting frustrated at having to select jpg compression setting everytime I wanted to batch a bunch of images. Eventually found the solution with the PS image processor...

Here is a quick tutorial:

In Photoshop CS2, choose File > Scripts > Image Processor

Got one running as I type.... :)

Great Website - Edwin Bont

Here's a really great website I came across in my browsing. It's by photographer and illustrator Edwin Bont

Heres the link http://www.edwinbont.nl/index.html

He has a fantastic macro gallery of various bugs. The lighting of his macros is what makes then better than most other stuff I've seen.

Make sure you check out his illustrations page too. He prints cartoons that he has made in Photoshop onto card. Then arranges the cutouts into scenes and photographs them with great lighting. Really creative. Excellent stuff!
