Adobe Lightroom First Look and Primer

Adobe Lightroom First Look and Primer

I'm really looking forward to this coming out for Windows. Would really suit my workflow... Although RSP is working out pretty well at this stage. The problem with RSP is that is does not have a good cataloging function and does not display jpegs when browsing through folders.

One of the great things about the Lightroom RAW converter is that the same changes can be applied to jpegs as well. I'm also really interested in the tagging and categorizing functions as well as the non destructive processing and output options.... all in all looks fantastic!

Check out the bottom of the linked page for some useful Lightroom links.

DMD - Decisive Moment Digital - M.Johnston

A very cool article at Luminous landscape. Michael Johnston describes his ideal street walkabout camera.

Sounds just like what I have been wishing for for ages. Pity it doesn't exist. It really wouldn't be that hard to make though.

Large sensor, good quality. High ISO.
RAW output.
Fast sharp prime. 35mm or 50mm equivalent. ?interchangable or with converters.
Not too big. Not too small.
AF with simple AF lock
EV shift
AV mode.
Nil shutter delay. Shot taken every time shutter is pressed... Instantly.
